4 Month Well Child Visit

Check the  developmental milestones your child has reached by 4 months.

Feeding your baby
You can introduce your baby to solid foods between 4-6 months of age.  Remember, breast milk / formula is still your baby's primary source of nutrition.

Some signs that your baby is ready to try solids include:

  • opening their mouth for the spoon
  • sitting with support
  • good head and neck control
  • showing interest in the foods you eat
  • taking more than 32 oz formula / breast milk per day
There are many ways to introduce solids,  This is the schedule we have found to be most effective.

Activities for your baby
You should always supervise your baby during these activities.
  • floor time
  • exersaucer
  • tummy time
  • reading to your baby (it's never too early to start reading to your baby!)

Your baby's sleep
Make sure you are putting your baby to sleep drowsy but awake.
