6 Month Well Child Visit

Check out the milestones your child has reached by 6 months.

Feeding your baby
You can introduce your baby to solid foods between 4-6 months of age.  Remember, breast milk/formula is still your baby's primary soruce of nutrition.

Some signs that your baby is ready to try solids include:

  • opening their mough for the spoon
  • sitting with support
  • good head and neck control
  • showing interest in the foods you eat
  • taking more than 32 oz formula/breast milk per day
There are many ways to introduce solids.  This is the schedule we have found to be most effective.

Your baby's sleep
Integrate reading into your baby's bedtime routine.
Make sure you are putting your baby to sleep drowsy but awake.
